Note

Nearly 100% wonder how long the annoying tail end will last. Think I'll be taking it easy most of the week. In prep for rogaine

Road Bike (Commute to work) 25:52 [3] 7.25 km (16.8 kph) +98m
ahr:145 max:175 shoes: Giro Privateer

Got a call to pickup my car from repair yard this morning just as I was leaving for work so quickly went there got it back and then rode in - meant havign to push a little which I did for maybe the first 10 mintues then eased off. Sadly at the far end I forgot to stop my gps for a while so it looks slower than it actually is.

Road Bike (Commute - To Home) 19:27 [3] 6.58 km (20.3 kph) +78m
ahr:149 max:162 shoes: Giro Privateer

Worked a bit harder got home a bit faster - not many delays on this ride

Road Bike (Commute - To Home) 19:34 [3] 6.49 km (19.9 kph) +82m
ahr:143 max:161 shoes: Giro Privateer

Almost the most direct route home - didnt push it but didnt get caught too long anywhere so time looks reasonable for going without pace.

Road Bike (Commute to work) 24:34 [2] 7.16 km (17.5 kph) +102m
ahr:143 max:164 shoes: Giro Privateer

Great sleep - decided to try get back into commuting on the bike.
Nice ride but very slow - didnt push it.

New EoT facilities are awesome.

Road Bike (Commute - To Home) 32:14 [2] 8.4 km (15.6 kph) +62m
ahr:129 max:156 shoes: Giro Privateer

Came home along the river - really slowly protecting a colleague from the wind to help her out abit but mainly have a chat. Peeled off just before thomas and upped the pace slightly but didnt see much point in flogging self to home. Generally a pretty relaxed ride. Forgot to stop gps for a few minutes at end too so makes it look even worse! go me.

Running (SR - Floreat Line) 40:36 [3] 6.6 km (6:09 / km) +75m 5:49 / km
ahr:176 max:164 shoes: ASICS GEL - Nimbus 17

After a week in Sydney of very late nights - a lot of bad food and bad drinks and busy days body was pretty destroyed - missed trying to get a course in last week on friday night or saturday to recover and decided to start this week off with a bang on the new courses.

I wasnt exactly fast and the bits which have been sore quickly showed they where still there and sore.

Eased my pace and focused on plodding along. Was a prefect evening for a run though birds where in full song, temperature was lovely hardly any wind (well until the head wind on the last leg) but generally was ideal conditions.

Felt like my route was close to optimal. maybe could have avoided a bit of climb. Sadly found a bug on the website so hoping that can get fixed quick smart.

Looking forward to either giving this another crack later in the week or potentially going to one of the other courses.

Running (SR - City Beach Scatter) 47:25 [3] 6.98 km (6:48 / km) +105m 6:19 / km
ahr:156 max:168 shoes: ASICS GEL - Nimbus 17

So first day where it was cool and I have had time since Sunday - went out to have a run on the city beach scatter course before it closes.

Cropped the map before printing as had some redundant space to it - made it nice and easy to read on the fly.

Was going to go S, E, N, W but when i got there I saw the wind was blowing in a way that made sense to go N, E, S, W direction. I dont know if my route was optimal there was a lot of options out there and dont know the area well enough to fully avoid hills but generally think I went pretty well.

Certainly way to hard out of the gate at the start dont know what I was thinking! There was a lot of walking today too. Other things to note - the houses where nice, everyone owns whipper snippers to mow their lawns and I got an overly excited greeting from a big black dog which the owner didnt have under control which left some scratches without a sorry from the owner.

All in all really enjoyed the area and the run even though it was slow with lots of walking... wish I had had breakfast first! Also a bit of calf tightness definitely slowed me up around the 4-5km mark.

Mountain Biking (Camel Farm) 1:11:39 [3] 14.17 km (11.9 kph) +243m
ahr:145 max:171 shoes: Giro Privateer

First time back to camel farm for just shy on 1 year (shy by 2 minutes on the start time).

No reason for the absence - a bit has changed now, the car park is gold coin donation and has bays marked. There is a green trail on the western side of entry road to get out to trails, there is a new green trail gridlocked (rode it both ways - wouldnt recommend downhill, loose and lack of berms made it less enjoyable).

Really enjoyed myself out there even though it was slow and I was feeling ill (bad tummy) but it was hot and dusty which detracted from it and I just wasnt in the mental zone to commit so just went along nice and easy.

Need to get out there more this year.
