Orienteering long 1:33:22 [5] 11.7 km (7:59 / km)

Good = I actually RAN (wow, profound. Running hard in a race!?) and had only minimal mistakes
Not so good = those mistakes were costly (silly silly route choice to 2, getting confused on the way to 6 and generally being a bit hesitant into the circle) and towards the end I felt like my legs had nothing left - more long runs/ strength is needed.
Overall feeling satisfied though

Run warm up/down 23:00 [3]

Orienteering race 38:44 [5] 5.76 km (6:43 / km)

First time in a while I felt in control of my orienteering (at least for the first part of the course!). I was generally focused on what I was doing and despite my over-run at 13 and not reading the erosion gully thing at 19 I felt good. I also love this terrain so that helped haha

physio & strength

Monday May 14 #

Note

Saw the physio and things are looking good, I have weak ankles and need to strengthen up all muscle groups in my legs etc. Have to rest this week from high impact to let my knee stop being inflamed (fat pad apparently). And hopefully all will be well for racing this weekend and I can get into running MORE next week! keen
