Attempted Volcano to Volcano (50k) although knew I was never gonna finish it so aim was to do 30k. Got left behind by Alex and her mate fairly early on so was a bit of a solo job with some big cheese tunes to keep me going. Decked it at about 25k which was just a sign I was at my limit, although sandy landing so only a wee grazed knee. Bailed out to longniddry train station and headed home feeling pretty done in. Seems like a nice route but is actually mostly hard surface or sand so really not very fun. Probably won't bother attempting the whole thing in the future.
