Mamores VK - 51st

Very wet and windy day which certainly gave the race a bit of atmosphere. Set off very steady on the first km which wasn't very steep at all, lost a lot of time here probably just lack of speed. Slightly steeper 2nd km and was starting to get Into a nice rythem but just still taking it steady as knew saving legs for the steepest stuff would be the smartest thing to do. Hit the steep stuff at about 2.5km or something, started strong and legs were cruising but chest slowly started to tighten up and breathing just wasn't there , after 500m of the steep stuff eased off a bit to try get the breathing under control , and just had to hold that hard but not as hard as I would like tempo.

Legs felt remarkably fresh even at the top and barely walked the whole way up just a shame about the breathing as felt there was a lot more in the tank. Rekon it was either asthma or just lack of top end breathing capacity due to lack of intense training or both. Either way I'm happy enough with this result and rekon after a few Interavls sessions I'll be in some good shape.

Plan for the next while now that I'm back at uni is a couple easier weeks building into the higher running load and more intense training but keeping up cycling 2/3 times a week. With the aim of getting back 7-10hrs of training in per week.

Pottering about at scotly. Knee niggle feeling a lot better but feeling my hammy just a tad, no pain but just noticeable, apart from that feeling strong
