Taking it easy and monitoring how I am. Legs and feet were in pain, but it feels the same as past bad days so it's nothing to worry about. We'll see where tomorrow takes me, the pain when I swallow is only there when I wake up and when I'm going to sleep, so it's hard to gauge where it's at.

Loads and loads of fun training tonight. Movement was fluid and confident, glad everything felt great. Stamina was a little bit hampered by mild sickness, but the session still went well. Another easy run tomorrow should ease me back in. Will track distance from next time onwards.

Gonna take today off. Started to run and I clearly wasn't having it, I'm not one to overrule my body when it's having a tough time. I think I have a bit of a cold and the physical effects manifested. On the other hand I biked a bit in sporadic intervals so there's that.

Didn't expect to go onto the Seat and ended up bailing on the long run. My feet were in quite a bit of pain on the uneven ground, my shoe selection wasn't really ideal. Back on the flat it didn't feel like I was set up to last for as long as I wanted so I headed home. Maybe with a bit of rest this afternoon I can get some more in.

Up and down Cairngorm. The wind was quite unrelenting at the top and I was afraid that my contacts would fly out of my eyes, but I can still see alright so I think that was avoided. The sprint back down was dreamy.

A delightful expedition in Inshriach. The footing was precarious at best but the orienteering was tricky and fun. It was pretty evident I hadn't orienteered in a while at the beginning, I was completely misreading the scale and overrunning. Once I got into the scale everything was sailing smoothly though, and my legs weren't drained at the end, which I take as a good sign.

Went up to Leith, across to Cramond Beach, and worked my way back from there. The first half was mostly unnoticeable, but once I got off the road along the coast I was starting to enjoy myself. Loads of people and their dogs enjoying the beautiful weather out, and my legs got a long rest from the sidewalks.
Hitting Cramond Beach and heading south along the river walkway, I was treated to two kilometers of unexpectedly wonderful trail running. The woods were pretty, the ground was soft, and I was mostly alone.
The only issue was that I was starting to look for a bathroom to avoid suffering for the second half. There seems to be a disdain for public toilets around here though, couldn't find a single one, and the guy I asked when I was hitting panic stations seemed to insinuate that I wouldn't be encountering any restrooms. Oh well, I just dealt with it and hoped I could keep it under control.
Apparently I didn't take enough time to remember the way back to the Meadows, and I was hit by an unfortunately timed wave of pain through my stomach and took a wrong turn. Spent some time guessing my way in the right direction until I hit a part of the Bruntsfield Links map by accident, so no issues from there.
That was the last of the troubles and I made it home safe and sound. Very enjoyable run that didn't get boring, good stuff.

Glad I didn't suffer to much from the break, everything is mostly feeling good apart from complaints in my left quad. It's concentrated in a small area and I had the same issue yesterday. I want to get on some softer ground in the next few days. Being on my lonesome was a bit of a bummer.

Back in Edinburgh now, but I hate flying this direction. Was gonna get an hour nap in today but my alarm didn't go off or it's not as annoying as the Suunto, which would be a bigger problem, and I've slept 3.5 hours in the middle of the day. Not very pleased with that.

While falling asleep I had some very powerful hunger pangs that felt both bad and kinda good at the same time, no idea what to make of it but I think it's chow time.
