Such a grim time out there. Two big mistakes, 7-8 minutes on one and around 4-5 on the other, and it was just hot and sweaty out there. Climbed so many cliffs and worried about falling off them, felt like I was getting a great bouldering workout. Was just a long plod, but I absolutely nailed the long leg route even if I screwed up the entry so I'm pretty pleased with that. Big grind on 12, wish that control didn't exist.

A filthy climb to the start

Orienteering 45:49 [3] 5.19 km (8:50 / km) +131m 7:50 / km

A lethal combination of heat, blisters, and cliffs everywhere left me with no pace left to burn. Switched focus completely to navigation when my efforts at pace were completely rejected, and to be fair had a relatively clean race after that. Tomorrow is gonna be similar conditions so we'll see what the terrain is like and react accordingly.

Nice sprint in Norrköping, first bit was lots of alleyways and a fat river plopped in the middle, some nice bridge running. Then hit the park section and was slow. Although to be fair wasn't the paciest boy for most of that run. Just look at that pace, pure fire. Technically pretty good, three mistakes all around 10 seconds and another that was like 5. Picked the wrong footwear we ran through a building a few times and had no traction on any of the turns, felt very clumsy. Good fun, I like resting though so maybe do that tomorrow.

Loved the course, lost a cheeky bit of time in the green not finding the flag but otherwise was running pretty well. My leg nav is going quite well, still dodgy in the circle though so I slowed it waaaay down and it worked wonders. Other than a horrid bit of rough open halfway through a long leg the woods were sweet.

Plodding along, taking on the nav and enjoying the lack of pressure. Really stupid stuff on 4 where I didn't take a ride through some green and was slowed down, but big mistake on 9. Nailed my attackpoint but took the wrong spur because I didn't use my compass properly, lost around 6 minutes. From there just a trek back towards the arena. Some small bobbles too, from hesitation and the like. Not a good showing but did enjoy myself so that's a positive.

Really need to put in some work to stop the mistakes because right now I feel like I'm leaking left and right with constant mishaps. Am still thinking of a method to do that.
