Miss punched 18, just skipped it completely.

We'll see if I get around to leg by leg description.

S-1 No real plan, kept track of contours and compassed

1-2 Overshot trail junction

2-3 Stayed on the trail until the junction east of the control, compassed in

3-4-5 Mostly compass

5-6 ? don't remember this leg

6-7 Compassed, using the lake as an attackpoint

7-8 Crossed the stream and used the two hilltops. Made an error going up the wrong reentrant, lost some time looking for the control before jumping over to the correct reentrant

8-9 Mistake here. Looking at the GPS now, I crossed the road way to the right of where I thought. Finally figured out where I was, and crossed the spur from the earth wall to 9.

9-10 Crossed the stream, read contours

10-11 Careful compass all the way

11-12 Stayed low, had some hesitations thinking I had crossed the big reentrant where 12 was

12-13 Compassed to the road, entered the big reentrant

13-14 Exited 13 right, counted trail crossings

14-15 Rough compass to the lake, used the west side of the lake to follow into 15, keeping up the hill

15-16-17 Mostly compass

17-18 Yikes

17-19 Once I got to the lake, got to the trail as quickly as possible and took that to 19

19-20 Used the two hill tops to get to the stream, used 3 as an attackpoint

20-21-22-23 Compass

23-24 Stayed to the right of the green

24-25-26 Compass

26-27 Attacked from the trail bend

27-28 Decided to use the road to the trail junction, attacked from the bend

28-29 Compass

39-30 On the trail, knew it would be close to the road

30-31-F Running

Honestly felt like it was my first advanced course, a lot of hesitations throughout, trouble making decisions. Last 1/3 my legs were just done

My streak of starting my watch between start and the first control continues. (I believe I've done this for the last 4 courses or so I've ran.)

S-1 Ok, overshot it a little and backtracked.

1-2 Pretty much straight. Crossed the trail before 2 and felt like I was running forever to get to the control. Some hesitation there

2-3 Compassed to the road, used the two special objects to attack 3. Got pushed around by the green and ended up close to the trail, corrected and hit 3. probably faster to just take the trail next to the special objects.

3-4 Took the left trail around the hilltop. aimed for the green "spur" in the open field. Again felt like I was running too far on the trail before I got to 4.

4-5 Planned to go straight, ended up a little left. Not too bad

5-6 Crossed the first trial north of 5, and took the second trail all the way to the stream crossing and attacked from there.

6-7 Aimed left of 7, followed the stream in

7-8 Made an error here. I had been doing good at planning my exit direction until 7. Went too far right, and was following the gullies there. Realized I shouldn't be going this far and corrected

8-9 Had a disaster here. I decided to take the road around, and exited the road too early and followed the wrong reentrant. Couldnt figure out what I did, so I bailed back to the road and attacked again. The area still didn't make sense after I punched 9

9-10 Ran too far right into the line of rootstocks, saw the hilltop and was able to navigate from there.

10-11 Ran to the trail, and decided to take the safe attackpoint at the trail junction. Control was visible from the junction

11-12 Took this one slowly. Compassed to the 4 special objects (gates) and decided to stay high. Was able to count reentrants to 12

12-13 Little rough. Came out on the trail further right than I expected. Once I saw the trail bend and rootstock, cut down the hill and compassed to 13

13-14 Bad route choice. Hit the compassed to the clearing on the trail, and decided to go straight. Was super slow, definitely better to use the trail around

14-15-16-F Just running

Wednesday Apr 7, 2021 #

Legs were really stiff while stretching afterwards

Was getting ready for a run, but decided to play some basketball with Curtis instead. Actually kinda tired
