Running 9:31 intensity: (16 @0) + (7 @1) + (1:11 @2) + (5:35 @3) + (2:22 @4) 1.15 mi (8:18 / mi)

Decent race. A few hesitations on control descriptions. Not feeling the best, and ran out of gas at the end, you can see exactly where in the splits. Ian lost a minute early on me and made it all back up.

Orienteering 19:02 intensity: (13 @2) + (1:57 @3) + (13:59 @4) + (2:53 @5) 2.08 mi (9:10 / mi)
ahr:174 max:186 16c shoes: NB FreshFoam 880

Legs were jello. I also skipped 9 at first, thought it was misplaced so I continued on until I saw it going to 13.

First mile with Alex after we did a round of disc golf.

Legs feel very tired.

Feel shitty for not really following a training plan or being consistent. But feeling mildly sick for a few weeks and a very busy and stressful time at work hasn't really allowed good training. Work should calm down the end of this week, so training should look better

Orienteering 1:07:01 intensity: (25 @1) + (35 @2) + (9:09 @3) + (50:16 @4) + (6:36 @5) 4.59 mi (14:36 / mi) +328m 11:57 / mi

I had a lot better time and more fun here than I did at any point during the 2023 Pig here.

This also felt better than the last few forest orienteering efforts. Still a little bit of a block trying to push through some of the green. But felt good with the nav, (even without a compass). 2 minutes lost each on 2 controls. Was in the right area, but couldnt see the feature or the flag.

Rain overnight so everything was soaked. Including me about 2 minutes in.

So, question I've been thinking about the last week. If a cave has an opening on 2 ends, is going through the cave a reasonable and acceptable route choice. And if you can run through and over the cave, it should be mapped with the two level symbols, right?
