Tuesday Jan 31

running tempo 35:00 [2]6.5 km (5:23 / km) +60m 5:09 / km
Didn't push it too much today because I've got a beep test this afternoon. Don't want to be hobbling across the gym now do I??? :-)
When you get up at 6:00am, do you ever feel like just going back to bed and running some time else??? But then once you get out there on the road with the sun just starting to light up the sky, you say to yourself, "this is... fun, no regrets!!!" It's like Holger and Sandy Hott Johansen said, just put your shoes on and get out the door!!!
school sports intervals (beep test) 15:00 [5]
This beep test went pretty well and I beat my record: level 14!!! It was only me and another guy left and we both went out at 14. Wasn't too bad, but I wasn't seeing black spots yet either. :-P

Sunday Jan 29

running 30:00 [3]6.5 km (4:37 / km) +60m 4:25 / km
Extended yesterday's route although it was not the best time to go. It was just at the start of a "blizzard" and it was really windy. On our way back, we were going up a 1km gradual climb hill with the wind coming right at us. Now that's waht you call brutal, but we shaved our time from 35min to 30min with a longer route too.
Oh ya, when I say we or our I'm referring to my dad and I, we always go running or spinning together. We have a lot of fun pushing eachother to the limit!!!

Saturday Jan 28

running 35:00 [3]5.5 km (6:22 / km) +60m 6:02 / km
Made a really great route making sure to avoid all of those fast food restaurants that make you want to barf!!! Really nice run along the parkway.

Friday Jan 27

cycling 45:00 [3]
It was strength in spinning and climbed two 12min hills, brutal!!!
skating 2:00:00 [2]
Played hockey at the rink which was great because it wasn't too cold that night but we weren't down to our t-shirts.

Wednesday Jan 25

school sports 1:30:00 [4]
First basketball tryout for the school team, went pretty well, but totally messed up my lay-ups

Monday Jan 23

running 50:00 [2]+100m
ran up the Dulude Hille once, but wasn't very good because so was all packed from the tobaggoners

Friday Jan 13

cycling long (also, 30min of basketball) 1:20:00 [3]
ahr:188 max:232
It was the battle of the heart beat!!! When I wanted it to go up, it went down and vice versa!!! It even jumped to 232 when I was trying to slow it down!!!

Had a lot of fun playing King's Court basketball in gym though...

Sunday Jan 8

orienteering 1:30:00 [1]8 km (11:15 / km)
I really enjoyed this race, but the snow was just deep enough to get into the back of your shoes!!! Absolutely awful!!! Oh well, can't wait to get back there for the North Americains.

Saturday Jan 7

orienteering race (Thomass race and route ch) 1:20:00 [4]10 km (8:00 / km) +800m 5:43 / km
slept:7.5
You can now call me the Thomass Champion!!! ;-) It was a good race although I got a pretty big advantage bu having a handicap of 5!!!

Friday Jan 6

orienteering race (a sprint and a relay) 1:25:00 [2]*** 8.5 km (10:00 / km)
29c slept:8.0
The sprint went ok, but I got all messed up because the numbers on the control card didn't match the ones on the controls. The relay was a lot of fun though. I should call it attack of the burrs... :-)

Thursday Jan 5

orienteering race (3 different races) 2:22:00 [3]** 20 km (7:06 / km) +32767m 46 / km
42c slept:8.0
The first day of the training camp with 3 courses all in one day!!! Man are they trying to kill us or what??? Oh well, it was a lot of fun anyways. I really hated those hills on the second course, always up and down the whole time!!! And maybe it wasn't 100000000000m of climb, but it was a lot anyways!!!

Sunday Jan 1

running long 1:00:00 [1]6 km (10:00 / km)
up at the cottage; first run of the year; roads were pretty slippery; explored a really old maybe ancient farmhouse which was great rest time, maybe 15min; nearly had to fight off a dog on our way back :-)
