Saturday Apr 14

hiking 3:00:00 [1]15 km (12:00 / km)
Hiked from the first campsite on Mosquito Lake, to the next one on Lindsey Lake. Finally got onto the real trail, but we had lunch on the old railway track. Bag isn't too heavy, and it was actually kinda sunny this morning, until it clouded over... :( atleast it's not raining...yet.

Friday Apr 13

hiking 35:00 [1]
Not sure of our actual time, not even sure of how far we hiked, but it wasn't too far. All on the road too. Had a bit of trouble finding the right private road, there are lots and lots to choose from!!!!! Raining...woohoo!!!
cycling 45:00 [1]
Endurance class which was good cause my calfs were uber cramped for some reason!?! Got all the kinks out.

Wednesday Apr 11

running warm up/down (track) 25:00 [1]
Went to track before band but only got to do the warm-up and stretch before I had to run back to the school. :(
running 1:00:00 [3]
First Junior Orienteering Training event thingymadooer and it was tons of fun, but uber cold!!!!!!! We were at Vincent Massy, so we did our warm-up with a run over to Mount Mooney and a few runs up and down to keep warm. Then we did this awesome but really tough obstacle course on the side of the hill. We ran down avoiding the hoops, then switchbacks along the bottom before running up the steepest part of the hill. We then ran through a mini "forest" and over 2 "hurdles". Then there was a sprint through the clear space before making a u-turn into the trees. And these were like fight-your-way-through-the-wall-of-spikey-pine-needles. We must've looked pretty funny, but it was like running through dark green!!! We finished off the course by running across a plank and then under 2 other hurdles and then a final sprint up the hill again. My times were 1.23, 1.19, and then 1.18
orienteering 30:00 [2]
After the course, we did a relay with 2 other people where the first person would take the actual control with them and put it in the right spot. Then the next person would go out and find the control, pick it up, and put it in the next control spot. It went on like that except the advanced people had to do it without a map. We were allowed to look at it before we left, but we couldn't take it with us. It was pretty challenging and I put the control in the wrong spot, but that was cause instead of finding a small swamp, the whole depression was full of water. I couldn't find the boulder anywhere, so I just stuck it on a tree... :P
Finished off with some chocolate milk and cookies!!! YUMMY!!!!!

Tuesday Apr 10

running (track) 1:00:00 [4]
Ran down to the Notre Dame track and did 2 laps as a warm-up, then some stretching and "form thingymadooers". Then the long-distance runners did 400m sprints/laps in pairs. That got pretty tough after awhile but it was still good to try running on a track. The only problem was that the baton was metal and it was uber cold, so our hands got really really cold. Finished off with one fast lap, and then a cool-off lap and the run back to Nepean.

Monday Apr 9

orienteering 1:40:00 [2]
Went back to Cité des Jeunes, but just played around in the lower part of the map instead of doing the permanent course again. Some parts of the map was uber confusing or was just not mapped right, but it was still lots of fun!!!

Sunday Apr 8

strength 30:00 [4]
Had my own personal trainer (Molly) for about 10min of my workout which was fun. She really kept me going for most of it while I helped her with her math homework. Did lots of jumping jacks, 50 push-ups, a bunch of sit-ups...
Then on my own I ran around the house, did some planks and crunches and lunges. Fun fun fun!!!
