Bad Game... One assist, two penalties and a possible chipped (definitedly bruised) collar bone after blocking a shoot-in from the point in a 4-1 loss. Not happy with the reffing.

Swimming 45:00 [3]

Yeeegad. So tired this morning, but Lindsay kick me out of bed to go swimming anyway. Barely survived. Chlorine tastes bad, but I always have a nice hot shower since I get out of the pool early. Sooner or later I'll be able to go the whole 60minutes.

Straight to work after watching a little TdF. Big mountain stages just aren't the same without the big contenders out there (Jan and Ivan).

Bike home in time to go to Lindsay's hockey game. Today she sub'd for another team, so she wasn't planning on being a super star. She started off by setting up a beauty goal in the first. She added a go-ahead goal in the second. And with 1:00 left in the 3rd period, she hit the ice and scored with 53 seconds left on the clock for an equalizer. Pretty good game:)

Swimming 40:00 [3]
(injured)
Another swimming day, another near drowning incident;) No, not really that bad. I actually led out the drill session and managed to keep a reasonable pace out through 600m of 25 kick/50 full catch-up/25 swim. Stuck around for a 600m of pull, but little more than that... arms were dead. I should really kick my feet more, but that's not what I'm going to be doing in a triathlon, so that's not what I do in training.

A casual Z1 ride into work. Very leisurely, focused on spinning.

Sunday Jul 9

Road Bike (Commute) 50:55 [2]23.4 km (2:11 / km)
ahr:151 max:169 (injured)
Average Power: 208Watts

I borrowed Lindsay's bike to go to work to tidy up before Monday (new CEO). From there, Lindsay picked me up to take me to her hockey game where she proceeded to put on a scoring clinic. She was a little rusty having not played in a couple of weeks, but then she started to hook up her moves and she scored a hatty plus a bonus for a final score of 4-0. Nice. I don't think she'll be welcomed back to Maroon next season.

Also noted on the ride that I've been neglecting my cadence... I only ride in the mid-80s normally now, but I used to focus (when I had my power meter) at riding in the mid-90s. I'll have to rectify this to make sure my power is good.
Road Bike (Commute) 36:10 [2]18.2 km (1:59 / km)
ahr:161 max:187 (injured)
Sooo... ride home after Lindsay's game and after finishing cleaning up my shit at work. Very nearly got killed in part by Lindsay's bike which dropped the chain as I was taking a left through an intersection with on-coming taffic. I had to brake to wait for a car and was going to slip through a break in the traffic when I found that I'd dropped the chain... gave a thought about paddling, but a forward lunging motion was enough to propel me through the intersection ahead of the on-coming cars. I gotta fix her bike for her so we don't get killed riding it.

Average Power: 247Watts (when the chain was on the bike:) )
