I don't like the cable machine at my new gym, so I tried the French Press machine instead. Now my triceps are really sore- just what I need, more definition in my triceps- not!! It does indicate that I should change my program within the next two weeks or so, though. My chest is getting stronger all the time- which is good.

Orienteering 38:46 [3] *
spiked:18/18c slept:6.0 weight:117lbs

Farst event organised by thePiller. Took a Red Bull right before the race- very little sleep the night before. It helped for the race, but I was jittery for hours afterwards. I'm still not 100% after my root canal, but I've stopped taking the drugs.

Very fun event. Nice to run in an area I've never been to before. I didn't push as hard as I could have, but I was feeling a little low from the root canal still.

Orienteering 15:00 [2]

rhr:56 slept:10.0 weight:120lbs

Climbing ladders all day certainly counts as training

Speedwork 24:00 [5]

Total non-recovery time for workout

Note

I am amazed that despite my close proximity to theBarron while he was sick, I have yet to feel even the slightest sniffle. My immune system must be stronger than I thought.

Trail Run hills 30:00 [4]

Felt L knee a little on the first loop up mt Doug- 9:45
Second loop 8:20- decided to call it a day at that point due to knee. Took one Vit I after to reduce the small amount of knee swelling. Then I had strawberry shortcake.

Sunday Feb 12, 2006 #

Note
slept:8.0 weight:118lbs (rest day)

Felt a sinus headache for about 3hrs while at work. Ate a lot at night- but all fairly nutrient-dense (if high-fat)

Saturday Feb 11, 2006 #

shoes: Saucony T5

Really slow run along country roads- didn't really know where I was going. Full moon made headlamp unnecessary- one of the nicest runs I've had in a while. Beautiful.

Note

I've used nutritiondata.com for a week now, and am a little alarmed to see that despite my nutrient levels being high, I'm consistently low in Vit E! I have a sneaking suspicion though, that my daily hemp protein powder is high in VitE, but I can't add it to the computer.

Road Run long 1:43:00 [3] 18.0 km (5:43 / km)
rhr:52 slept:8.0 weight:118lbs shoes: Saucony T5

Nice social run. I didn't feel like I was pushing it very hard, but boy was I sore the next day. I guess I haven't done a run that long in a while. New shoes- I don't like them at all. My first time unimpressed by Saucony. Not enough forefoot cush for my run style.
