1 PM

Running 31:40 [3] 4.1 mi (7:43 / mi)

Osbaldwick
Thought was moving well, then first mile bleeped at 08.05. Lost of bit of motivation to try after that, though pace inched up naturally.
5 PM

Running 17:40 [3] 2.3 mi (7:41 / mi)

Jumped off the bus and ran into Stamford Bridge over railway viaduct

Urban Orienteering 20:05 [3] 2.7 mi (7:26 / mi)

Stamford Bridge sprint #1

All very straightforward, though struggled to maintain flow as was relying on phone torch in places having forgot headtorch. Not running flat out by any means, just enjoying it.
6 PM

Urban Orienteering 16:35 [3] 2.3 mi (7:13 / mi)

Stamford Bridge Sprint #2

Even more straightforward as the same controls as #1 but in a slightly different order

Running warm up/down 10:00 [2] 1.3 mi (7:42 / mi)

12 PM

Running 28:40 [3] 4.0 mi (7:10 / mi)

Planned route thwarted when discovered river had breached banks, unsuprisingly. Picked pace up on the side that was fine, and around Bootham Hospital
6 PM

Running 1:16:05 [3] 10.7 mi (7:07 / mi) +100m 6:55 / mi

Track
16 * 70s on, 50s off
Having missed the two previous sessions of 12 and 14 respectively, would have been easy to settle for less than 16, but decided to pace it on the basis of doing 16. Big group which slowly whittled down from half way with people doing Abbey Dash or being soft. Only 4 of us on the last rep, and the other 3 dragged me to a full 400m. Prior to that, inching my way forwards from 360 - 380m
Pleasing enough.

Running 31:10 [3] 4.1 mi (7:36 / mi) +20m 7:29 / mi

Acomb loop. Very windy.
6 PM

Running 51:00 [3] 7.0 mi (7:17 / mi) +90m 7:00 / mi

Rothwell a/c loop, ended up in no mans land, so waited for those behind, only they were doing shorter loop, so ran with them and added on at the end. Pace all over the place with the wind and undulations.

12 PM

Running 1:35:40 [2] 12.1 mi (7:54 / mi) +100m 7:43 / mi

Out and back very easy, railway to Otley, river to Leathley and country lanes up to Stainburn. Considered looping round via Almscliffe Crag to Pool, but decided it looked just too far away.
Legs still battered.

Running intervals 1:10:00 [4] 10.0 mi (7:00 / mi) +100m 6:47 / mi

Roundhay XC Session

8 mins (2) 4 x 4 (90s) 4 x 2 (60s)

Very soft after recent rain and fireworks display

8 mins went well, struggled to get going on the first min of each 4 but finished well, and a similar struggle on the 2s. Felt broken afterwards, but a great session.

Running 30:30 [3] 4.0 mi (7:38 / mi)

Easy does it

Thursday Nov 5, 2015 #

6 PM

Running 1:00:30 [3] 8.4 mi (7:12 / mi) +300m 6:29 / mi

The now annual Bonfire night uphill run to Queensbury, 4 mile slog up Great Horton Road. Left across the desolete moors and down to Stone Trough, then along to Shelf and Wibsey. Bit epic for a road run.
