Orienteering race 52:15 [4] *** 5.7 km (9:10 / km) +305m 7:14 / km
spiked:9/10c shoes: Inov8 X Talon 212

H3 course at Evedon, near Bunbury. 3rd again to a couple of M21s (Justin Woolford and Wally). 2 min mistake at No. 1, but the rest were ok. Lot of walking with 5.4% climb. Actual distance 6.5km. Very cold SW wind. Shoes were ok, even though I forgot to take my orienteering orthotics and had to use the normal running shoe ones, which are a lot thicker. Didn't appear to be much room for my toes at first, but no blisters or bloody toenails thank goodness.

Good weekend's work - 26kms in 3 days.

Orienteering race 1:02:30 [4] * 10.86 km (5:45 / km)
spiked:20/20c shoes: ASICS GT2130 (new)

Street Score event in Bunbury, 20 controls in 75 minutes the target. Knew it must be possible, so went for it. Couple of largish hills, with a tower to climb on one of them. 3rd behind 2 M21s (tRicky & Wally).

Running 48:25 [3] 9.0 km (5:23 / km)
shoes: ASICS GT2130 (new)

Bridges & Sth Heirisson. Struggled into biting cold SW for the first half, feeling heavy after a late lunch (Roy Hiller's funeral today). For once I was early enough for there to still be daylight on the Island. Saw a couple of roos under some trees on the leeward side - the rest must have been sheltering from the wind nearby.

Running 40:20 [4] 8.0 km (5:03 / km)
shoes: ASICS GT2130 (new)

Usual Kings Park run, very humid conditions just after a shower, and felt like I was working hard, but the time indicates it must have been a bit easier than usual.
