Road cycling 1:20:00 [3] 33.0 km (2:25 / km)
shoes: Bike: Bianchi Coast to Coast

To Bassendean along the river and back via the rail line.

Orienteering race 15:44 [5] **** 2.8 km (5:37 / km)
ahr:144 max:152 spiked:26/26c shoes: Inov8 X Talon 212

Nav Dash race at Aquinas College, no mistakes but with so many short legs had to stop twice to reorient the map. Total stopping was 1:34 according to the Garmin, so probably taking me about 3 secs to punch each control. Also, fastest pace was 5:09, checked back to Mt Lawley and UWA where I reached 4:05 and 4:28 respectively. Obviously these days I need longer legs (orienteering ones that is) to wind up the speed! The short legs at Aquinas just didn't do it for me.

Running 33:59 [3] 6.5 km (5:14 / km)
shoes: Asics GT 2150

Short Kings Park lap in the pouring rain.

Sunday Apr 11, 2010 #

Running 43:12 [3] 8.16 km (5:18 / km)
shoes: Asics GT 2150

ABC in East Perth to Maylands YC, with a loop of both sides of the rail bridge on the way back. New shoes, terrible colour for running shoes - pristine snow white - they will be in the washing machine a lot I guess. Have stuck with Asics GT for over 20 years now - they accommodate my orthotics well, always fit like a glove, and feel good running.
