Event: Bush 10 WA Middle Distance Championships Foxes Lair
 

WA Middle Distance Champs at Foxes Lair, gps 3.84kms). A clean run for a change, was never pushing the pace though, with potential to experience breathing problems in this sort of race. Enough to take the win in M70 in a close race, and only 40 secs off the best M65.

Took the road option to 2, and after that went pretty direct and was able to read the key features well.

Putting out 8 controls, then checking the ones put out by SWOT - all the H and most of the M controls.

Sprint race at Narrogin High School, gps 2.78kms (don't know how the official distance was calculated).

Should not have made a mistake on my own map, but misread 7 and went into a cul-de-sac after the first passage instead of continuing through the second passage - Duh! cost about 20 secs. Also possibly took the wrong route choice to 3.

Walked up the hills to 10 and the finish, so my splits were slow. RG in 2nd place was unofficial, having put some of the controls out. Juniors did well, especially the winner, and some really young ones beating or getting very close to LostRichard (may have been the second course for a couple of them, though).
