early shake out run and then cooling my heels at the senior games track meet w a bunch of strides. cumulative travel fatigue made for dreaded dead feeling i could not shake , though

palm desert senior games 1500. my worst case race scenario, feel dead, then event keeps getting pushed later and later into the hottest part of the day. nontheless, it was a decent effort that will help get me back into speed shape. came in 2nd, winner was 62 yr old who had earlier run the 3000 in 11:20 and run the 400 right before the 1500 -strong runner!

i must be sliightly off my rocker...no matter how bad my races are i still believe that given good circumstances i have some b reakout races ahead of me.

fairly strenuous hike w Adam on channel isalnds off malibu coastline

running 1:15:00 intensity: (15:00 @1) + (45:00 @2) + (15:00 @5)

4 x 600, 4 x 400 at mile pace w 2-3 min rest on Malibu hs track. trouble was mile pace was over 6 min/mile. first speedwork since pulled hamstring.
