on north shore trails of pueblo reservoir, recommended for little climb. Served well, but could only manage 17 minutes of tempo. Too much bouldering in my legs, and wanted to stay fresh for the weekend.
scramble up steep oak scrub hillside ostensibly to look closer at rock outcroppings. mostly wading through thickets and putting hand on cactus -not the greatest, but certainly a good leg stretcher. lesson: rocks look a lot more promising and easy to get to from far away.

found a couple of good roadside places. cliffs whose grassy base slopes uphill work best, to climb along soft base staying a foot or two above ground.
to dirt track in pueblo. all dry now. these were killer. i mean kill me. maybe the track was oversize:)?

bouldering session on rocks near road near campground
had a real hard time sleeping and then heard intermittent rain/snow noises. changed into my rain gear inside bivy sack (do not recommend) broke camp and got off mounttain in dark, freezing hands and feet thawed after a while. fun! ha ha
up to gorgeous mountain landscape at macy lakes in hope of continueing up mountain valley and peak next day. foiled. my apprenticeship in the Sangre de Christo continues.
