10k trail race at Castlewood SP. I believe this is a little slower than past years, but it was a solid workout. I think since this was a month later than usual the cold may have slowed me down. And I didnt push on the steps discarded some gear and so on. But ran well, even tho at the end there was a little bad patch where a half dozen that i had passed hammering on the trail just before passed me back. Thankful to be able to run hard, come out in one piece and share this experience w a lot of likeminded folk. Traded positions often w one grizzled fellow in the last couple of miles, then he went past me 600 out, but i caught him at the finish and could have nipped him but instead I threw my arm around him and let him finish first. Second 60-69. Now I cant wait to see if my buddy at the finish line was first in 60-69! but the results aren't loading just yet.

(edit: might have been because of waves but would not have made any difference, 60 yr. old running 1:15 faster than me. still, 25 seconds faster than last year...when i was coming back from collarbone break)

tried long pants, but not cold enough. legs just dont feel like they turn over. I can think of a number of races where i overdressed, but maybe just one or two underdressed.
