Found a place in the gravel track where its 2k in one direction and 1k uninterrupted in the other. Still a little wet so dodged some puddles. Doing a workout seemed improbable given how I felt. As I sometimes do of dire neccessity, I didn't really know what I was doing until I started. something clicked and it went satisfactorily. Decided on the 1k's. Tempo/interval blend.

this was a weird uncomfortable workout where i probably should not have been out there. but there I was, in spite of the rain, not enough recovery and a sore hip from the trail crash two days ago.

6 x 400 w 3+R, walking a lot towards the end. 1:27 (felt faster than i should have gone), 1:37 slower tIshg, 1:36, 1:44 (pretty sure this was a mispunch because it felt relatively strong), 1:32, 1:28

Nice track though, away from major roads, open to public, great shape and portapotties right at trackside. The configuration of 4 straightaways w 4 curves took a little getting used to, never been on one like that.

lime kiln trail. felt some discomfort in my right foot. when i got back i found a 2.5" long 1/8" drill bit in my shoe! guess those hokas are pretty cushiony.can wear on rocky trails if i have to.
