STL St. Louis Oly. ran the 400 and halfway thru hamstring of a couple of weeks ago flared up again... Cruised in at like 1:20 and was surprised how easy that felt. Good enuff for 2nd age group.
Then had a big decision to make: bail on the rest of the day or try to run relaxed in the other races. Decided to go for it, 1500 in 6:08, and 800 in 3:08. Both good enough for 1st in age group, and felt like 90% or less effort so bodes well for future. Relaxed (kind of mile pace or a bit slower) felt like it would be easy to pour on some special speed sauce on top of. Nice workout out in spite of it all.
Hammie is quite stiff now, but glad I got those races in, and it didn't morph into a major tear (I think!). Lets see what biking and Aimee PT can do.
