Setting controls for memory-O exercise at Hueston Woods.
Probably 90% back to normal, but felt pretty congested when I tried to run a bit.

walking 10:00 [1]

trail running 8:00 [3]

Union County O training at Hueston Woods. When we arrived, I led the kids on a short terrain run to a starting point on the service road. We regrouped there and did a short memory O exercise. Kids looked at a map, then left the map and had to run to a control 100 to 400 meters away, then return and tell me the code letter on the flagging tape (no actual control flag). Most kids did at least 2 of these. More experienced kids had to do combos of 2 or 3 controls at a time.
After that, 2 rounds of capture the flag. Each team had a mapped wooded territory of about 0.06 km2 (1:5000 map). Service road between the territories was neutral, and also the prison.
Then Noah P led us on a terrain jog back to the parking lot.

12 middle school students, 4 from the high school.
