Grindstone loop with MW.

Took a wrong turn on the east side of the creek and ended up at the top of the escarpment too early which meant we cut quite a bit of the climbing out of it but still covered the whole distance.

MW did great. For a guy who started running maybe a month ago he did amazing on a tough route. Still struggled on the hills but moved really well on the flats.

Still love this route - great tough route.

NEW ROUTE

6km loop through the neighbourhood

But...must be run pushing the baby chariot, with baby inside...and any breaks for water, petting 'doggies', general conversations, picking flowers, adjusting bike helmets, or toddling (at a 180mpk pace) need to be included in your time.

If I ever meet the creator of attackpoint I'll have to thank him(her?) for days like today. There are so many amazing routes on AP that are just up for grabs if you can find people in your area...I'd never find half of these without AP....so thanks!

For today we pulled a workout out of Harps' log, the BSMT run loop and it was spectacular. It took us through sections of waterfront trail we didn't know (like the Valley Inn Rd trail and everything in and around the Grindstone Marshes).
And it was a very welcome change vs the usual Bruce Trail out and back I was running from Waterdown road.

We started and finished at Hidden Valley Park which made our version of it shorter than Harps' and we were of course much slower than those guys, but it was a real treat for sure. Can't wait to give it another shot and see if we can knock a few minutes off of our time (we lost some time also because it was our first time around...checked the map a few times to make sure we didn't take a wrong turn).

Awesome morning.
