Early morning tour....in reverse.

There was only one other person in the park the entire time I was there. And somehow he managed to almost run me over (on his bike). But hard to be mad at another crazy out at 6am.

The PwC epictour was today which meant that rather than 0 cars climbing the escarpment on NO 14 today at 6am, there was an unending string of BMWs and Range Rovers with 'cycles' strapped to the back. So I turned the truck around and parked at the velodrome and biked up Old Bell School line to get into Kelso to do some trailbiking by headlamp.

Everything looked good until the #1 rule of mountain biking came back to bite me....that being, if you ever neglect to bring your levers, a spare tube and your pump with you (because you said to yourself, "aw forget it...I never pop a tire and I won't ride that aggressive today")...like I said, if you ever leave them behind, you WILL end up with a flat.

So yeah, there I was, walking my sad deflated mountain bike through an army of roadies who were waiting outside the Kelso parking lot for their race to begin. Walk of shame.

I phoned it in though and JK bailed me out from having to walk all the way back to the velodrome. Either way...#1 rule....gotta remember.
