Cruisey ride with shep kez prosseri and hoggster round the nthn burbs and then back into the city for coffee and toast before heading back to work.

Summer series on black mtn - i was stuffed on the run over from work and i didnt feel any better in the mass start. Craney and Kez dropped me pretty much straight away and i battled round by myself for the rest of it. Full time work is killn' me.

Running to the orienteering with eric and then home with max. max set a bit of an easier pace than eric, he also screamed a lot more.

Ran the lake ginninderra handicap at lunchtime 23.51. Over a min off my best but not a bad effort anyway, managed to catch Eric a min with less than a km to go. We were both in struggle town by that stage.

Ran with Grant over ainslie and then majura, felt pretty good running and was surprisingly easy to run for this long.

Did a mass start with kez, he put me through the wringer, struggled to hold onto him after i lost my early lead to a beginner mistake not aiming off. fun area and course.

Jogging along 7mile beach with the cockies, ran hard on the way back, felt like we were picking up the pace the whole way but we were prob just holding the pace on the sand and into the wind. Had a quick swim after.

Running at fitzroy falls with hoggster, kez and al. We went to the east and west lookouts, nice spot.

Morning ride at Majura, cool fun and a bit better technically than last time, helps to know the tracks a bit too. had some breaky at deli marco and then headed to work via the tracks on bruce ridge.

Hill intervals on the way home from work. Didnt have a watch but did 5 longish efforts with shorter jogs downhill. Started on the famous ds hill, up the concrete track from banjalong st to top of aranda hill. Saw a brown snake on way down to black mtn underpass and then did 4 more efforts of approx 3min up 1.5min down to top of black mtn. Saw another snake halfway up which really had the hr going if i wasnt working hard enough. Summer is really here.

My weekly hard training at the summer series on Bruce Ridge. Ran ok, a few little misses around the controls and a few waits for people punching. Had the old sweat stinging the eyes, first time in a while i've had that. Max also went round his first orienteering course with Ann Scown today - apparently he loved it.

Did cotter urriarra with Shep Pete and Prosseri. Its been a while since i've been on a roadie and it showed, i was struggling every time we went up a slight hill. Coffee and banana bread at Gus' hit the spot afterwards though.

A cruisey ride round majura with grant and shep although they were going a bit quicker than me, i was stuffed.

MTB over to stromlo then a loop of stromlo and back. Went with shep pete thomas and dave q, the pace was pretty hot for me and i was rooted by the time we finished at stromlo, got a slow flat on the way home that finally went totally flat 100m from home - lucky.

MTB in the morning on bruce ridge. was gunna do the tour de pete but as i set out i realised i hadnt changed the pedals on thomases bike to look pedals so had to get the mtb out. Had a coffee with the TDP boys at deli marco before riding to work.

Got home pretty late and wasnt really planning to run but then when al and max weren't home either i knew it was my chance so i did a quick run up black mtn. Did a surge from the botanic gdns on my route to the top that was about 15min, very tempted to mark it on the wall.

Summer series at mt taylor, the cold rain wasnt very summery though. I ran ok didnt really push that hard but a good solid run. includes 5 min warmup.

Ran to the top of black mtn in the morning. Felt like i was out running for ages - dissapointing to look at the watch and see it was only 70min.

Ran with Grant in the morning. Was feeling a bit seedy after searlo's bucks party last night (prob due to the jellied meats or sweet hunter stew i tasted at the polish club) but that went away after 20 very slow minutes of running and the second half felt good we even went up ainslie.

Rode out to stromlo and did a lap of the singletrack there - pretty awesome esp all the berms on the downhill. Got a pie at the bakery on the way home to celebrate the last day of freedom - start work tomorrow!
