Running 50:00 [3]10.8 km (4:38 / km)
shoes: Asics kayano
The first snow for the winter came today although by the time i went out for a run it had turned to cold drizzle and washed most of the snow away... lovely. It was a struggle for me, 50min round stadskogen felt like a marathon.
C • Pattern 10

Monday Oct 30

Running 40:00 [3]8 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Asics kayano
Running in stadskogen in the cold drizzle. The knee was a bit sore in the start but good at the end. The quads are still killing me though. I don't know how anyone gets into running, it is so uncomfortable in the beginning and then once you run a lot there is a whole new type of discomfort.

Sunday Oct 29

Running 30:00 [2]6 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Asics kayano
Another easy jog in stadskogen, the knee felt a lot better today and it even looked better as well with a lot less white puss working its way out. The old quads were really sore even running on the soft forest paths, should be back to nearly normal by the end of the week but.
C • great to see you back running ... 6

Saturday Oct 28

Running 20:00 [2]4 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Asics kayano
Finally got out for a little run. It was pretty uncomfortable in the knee and the rest of the body for that matter but it was good to be back training a bit. Hopefully by the end of next week i can do some real training.

Friday Oct 27

Note
weight:84kg (injured)
Nearly 4 weeks without training now and i've gone up 4kg despite going on a healthy eating blitz. Shit!
Hopefully soon i am going to start training again, the knee feels really stiff and its still a open cut but i might try it tomorrow and see if the discomfort just goes away when i run.
C • c'mon we saw how much cheeseca... 4

Back in Uppsala, at least its not as cold as i was expecting even though its already snowing in Dalarna apparently. I still cant run but the swedish bloke sitting next to me on the plane home had a pretty good crack at Boonies 52 beers, i dunno how many he had on the first leg but he must have had close to 20 drinks while i was sitting next to him from KL to stockholm. He couldnt walk too straight getting off the plane but he didnt mind telling me how much he loved australia.

Finally back on AP, still no training for me thanks to the infected knee plus now i have to go on medication for high blood pressure and am not allowed to run the marathon... and i thought Al was just teasing me about getting old after turning 30.
C • not allowed 6

Sunday Oct 15

Note
Played Golf with TQ Grant and Hoggster, classic battle of wits and strategy on the mighty belconnen front 9. Hoggster started like a pro with a birdie on the 3rd but he had no answer once i brought out "the parrot" 3 wood.

Crashed the bloody hire bike on rottnest island and got to visit the rottnest nursing centre, you cant buy that kind of experience. It was a back pedal brake bike and the chain came off going down a big hill when i tried to put the brakes on. That left the bike with no brakes and a sharp corner coming up, i tried to slide the bike towards a bushy area but in the end i got a big cut in my knee plus another in my foot - i dont remeber how i happened exactly but it was lucky i was wearing shoes cos one dunlop volley was shredded. No running for me for a while.

Sunday Oct 1

Orienteering race (WA Champs Day 2) 1:30:00 [4]**** 14 km (6:26 / km)
shoes: silva k80
2nd again behind jules this time. A bloody tough race, hot steep thick and rocky. Dies in the last part where jules was strong but the orienteering was starting to flow again.
Running warm up/down 25:00 [3]4 km (6:15 / km)
shoes: silva k80
To stuffed and sore to warm down, had a swim in the ocean instead plus a coke and a pub squash, classic!
