Running 1:20:00 [3]

great nosh. i have wanted to do this race for ages and it was even better than i had expected. i didnt feel too good from the start but tried to keep grant in sight. at the roseville bridge i was still getting glimpses of him and had settled into an uncomfortable rythm. soon after i noticed grant drop off the group he was in and i thought i might be a chance. caught him a few km later and we ripped through the most technical part of the course and nearly caught oscar booth who was ahead of us. once the course flattened out again oscar took off and i got a bit of a gap on grant which i managed to hold to the end. another ripper battle. 65.13, jules had 62, he blew up after starting too fast unusually.

Orienteering 40:00 [3]

Cockies training - orienteering intervals on a google earth csiro map. The area round the glasshouses was a cracker. A real orienteering map there would be tops.

Running 35:00 [3]

ABS handicap, wasn't really that sure i'd run since i am still crook but there was a small chance Jase might turn up so i thought i'd go along just in case. He wasnt there and i struggled round in my slowest time ever, 25.54, didnt catch anyone for the first time ever so it was a bit demoralising. Brett cartwright was barrelling round in the opposite direction. have got some antibiotics so hopefully i get better in time for the great NOSH in sydney on the weekend.
