Afternoon trundle round aranda hill and black mtn with hoggster and searlo.

Short run on gossan hill at lunchtime. wasnt too inspired to do this but managed to do a few faster efforts around the gossan hill loop.

SS orienteering at Mt Ainslie. Very hot and wasnt super concentrated to start with which meant i lost about a min on the first control which involved following a track all the way, somehow i ran off the track onto another one. anyway got going ok after that but had a few small probs seeing the flags. A fun course although it was a battle going up and over hackett hill.

ABS handicap at lunchtime, 24.33 which i think is better than last month (by 5 sec), felt like a struggle in the heat but pretty satisfied with the time.

Got caught up in a police foot search on the way home. Saw two dodgy looking guys, one following the other, the one following yelled at at me to call an ambulance and get the police who were on the street out from the bike path, then i noticed the other guy had a big blood mark in his back. Anyway i went and found the police who were busy arresting a guy the size of the shaq with several other agitated looking dudes standing around and yelling stuff at each other - the two cops had there hands full and were talking about a knife so i didnt want to interupt them but pretty soon two more cars arrived including one with a search dog. the guy with the dog came with me while i tried to explain where the two guys had gone - apparently one of them had been stabbed. We didnt find the two guys ( the dog was no rex and was no where near where the dudes had been walking but the cop wasnt too pleased when i pointed that out). Anyway i dont know what happened in the end since i went back to the original police to give them my details and go home. It took ages to do this since half the neighbourhood had turned up for a shouting match and the two poor policemen were trying to control them all. made for an exciting ride home anyway.
