Orienteering 2:10:00 [3]

NOL long at Belanglo, pretty late start due to childcare shuffle but with practically no one back 2hrs after the first start i new it was going to be a long tough day out and started accordingly slowly and carefully. No big mistakes apart from some bumbling in the circle due to no details on map (and possibly my normal laziness in the circle) but kept plugging away waiting to get to #19 to suck down a gel. was getting towards delerium stakes by then and had two gels there which got me going again ok but was totally shot by then end. Think i ended up about 8th. Brutal course, pity about the map but in a way its fun to run those races, great to see grant win, gives me hope for the future if i can start doing some training.

Orienteering 30:00 [3]

NOL Sprint at Maquarie Uni, felt like i went ok even though i did a lot of small mistakes and hesitations, not super fast but a bit surprised how far down the field i was. Need to start training a bit more.

Orienteering 50:00 [3]

NOL Middle at Hilltop, pumped to do a bit better in this race and started pretty well getting nicely into the groove. Made the classic mistake in the second half of thinking how well it was going and then lost a few minutes over the next few controls and hoggster caught back up. I'd lost all my rhythm and tracked hoogster till shep blew past us at the end. much better result (5th?) even though the run wasnt much better than the morning.

Running 30:00 [3]

Lunchtime jog to test out my boris granovsky hamstring which worsened after the 10k on sunday. After a few days rest i was hoping it would be back to normal but unfortunately it was a bit grabby straight away and got gradually sorer as the run went on. Hopefully it will hold out for the weekend.
