Orienteering 1:25:00 [3]

Oceania relays, 3rd leg for the cockies, 2nd place. We aimed to try and beat the australian team but all of us needed to run a min or two quicker. I felt dead in the legs after yesterday but was good technically apart from about 40 sec on 10 after i saw robbie and a few hesitations on a few other controls. Wouldnt have liked to be racing robbie through the last part with the feeling i had in my legs today.
Picked up a few controls afterwards.

Orienteering 1:45:00 [3]

Australian champs, 2nd. Was looking forward to this after yesterday and felt like i was reading the map well at the start. Caught a few guys just before the tough section but was a bit scrappy through this but had the feeling i was going well. Did the long leg well and then tried to pick up the pace a bit in the open section. Little mistake in the south east corner where i didnt understand the map. The last section in the forest was tough as i was really tired after burning my energy in the open part but got through it ok. Surprised to get second, would have been nice to have more in the tougher sections but it was a fun course anyway.

Orienteering 40:00 [3]

Oceania Sprint distance champs, 4th. Great fun race, ran to 4 to start with but luckily it was on the line to 1. Bit scrappy at the start but got going on the long leg and then made a few silly mistakes as i stopped reading the map through the short ones. Anyway had a good feeling with the orienteering unlike last weekend.

Lunchtime run up on gossan hill, did a few efforts, 3.23, 2.23, 1.37 on versions of the gossan hill loop. Was feeling good today.
