Easy evening jog. Right knee was super sore, with a pain right on the kneecap - its been getting worse and worse for the past few weeks, and was almost hobbling today. Stopped at top of painter for a stretch but it was such a nice evening and view i spent most of the time trying to pick out the peaks out in the brindabellas instead of stretching. Might have a day off tomorow.

Long run from pierces ck out to tidbinbilla and then back along the camels hump ridge. First part was undulating through mostly pine forest with some great blackberries. Once we got down to the koala park at tidbinbilla we started the big climb up to camels hump. Craney set a solid pace up here which was good 6 ft training. Scrambled up the last bit of bush to the top of camels hump and took a few photos. There was great views over to the spectacular scree slopes on the west side of the ridge.
Bush bashed down the north side of the ridge to get back on the fire trail when craney pointed out i had just passed a snake which gave me a bit of a start. last part was pretty cruisey downhill to the finish.

Orienteering 40:00 [3]

SS orienteering at aranda hill. Pretty good run up to the last couple of controls. Came the closest I ever have to being hit by a kangaroo, saw it heading straight at me at the last second and was bracing for the impact but somehow it changed direction and missed me by 30cm.

Lunchtime intervals on aranda hill and black mtn. 3 x 8min with 2 min jog. Legs starting too feel good again.
