Running 2:39:00 [3] 25.0 km (6:22 / km)

Long run out at Honeysuckle with Jase and Devil. We did the loop down to the base of tennant, up tennent on the fire trail and then across to booroomba on the Australian Alps Walking Trail and back down to honeysuckle still on the AAWT

The first old firetrail was pretty overgrown and it was pretty slow going in places. Ran at a solid pace up tennant and then quite easy back to honeysuckle. The AAWT had been cleared and was great to run on. Good to feel like this run wasnt too hard but on the bad side my knee was still sore at times particularly towards the end.

Intervals around lake ginninderra at lunchtime. 3 x 10min with 2 min easy. Did the first at at 3.30 pace and got progressively slower, 3.33 and 3.35 m/km pace for the last two. Didn't feel great and knee still a bit stiff but didn't really hurt when running hard. Booked in to see physio next week anyway.

Easy jog round lake ginninderra at lunch with Thomas. Knee stiff and feels a bit swollen but ok to run. Need to try and ice it probably.

ACT XC club 5k at Barenjoey drive. 16.40

Wanted to do a race before 6ft to get back into the feel of it. A longer one would have been better but this was one of my last chances. The knee has been super sore after the weekend but did a massive amount of masage stretching etc and it was a bit better today. Started out too fast running by myself (did first km in 3.12) but then hung on with times more around the 3.20 mark. Still didnt feel great so was surprised at a time 3 sec better than last years epic battle with grant.

Need to take it a bit easy to get the knee back to normal as i reckon another hard training with steep downhill wouldnt be too good for it right now.
