Running 1:20:00 [3] 13.5 km (5:56 / km) +1034m 4:17 / km

Ran with Jase and Andy, 2 surges up black mtn (approx 8min each) and then a surge up aranda hill (4min?). Lots of discussion about 6ft track river levels and tactics. Was raining a lot the whole run and there was water everywhere on black mtn.
Feeling quite good on the hills, not super fast but could keep going pretty well. Knee sore afterwards, not sure magic tape is magic - might need to start stretching again.

Jog in to work, knee still a bit sore despite pummeling from physio and magic tape ( which was quite poorly applied by myself so probably not magic).

Running 1:08:00 [3] 14.0 km (4:51 / km)

Lunchtime tempo intervals. Surge up aranda hill of about 7.44, 3min easy downhill then 10.18 surge up Black Mtn to top. Short jog down to the seat of about 3min then a 25min surge around little black mtn, through bruce ridge and along to the end of gossan hill. Knee was a bit sore but not too bad. Saw the physio today (thur) and he thinks it is version of itb inflammation, hopefully some more massage, stretching and the magic tape he gave me will fix it up. Its not so bad i couldnt run 6ft track anyway but it would be good for it to be properly better.

ABS Lake Gininderra Handicap, 7km 23.42
Did this as a last hit out before 6ft. Good conditions and pretty happy with the time, 8sec better the my showdown run with TQ last summer (December 2010) when I was in pretty decent shape. Still more than a minute off my best time for this though and i secretly hoped to be a bit faster than this.
On the up side I didnt notice my knee much at all although it isnt completely better yet.
