Mountain Biking 3:00:00 [3]

Rode over to stromlo with Thomas and we did 3 different laps over the hill riding almost all the green and blue tracks at least once.
Good fun ride, Thomas was hammering up the hill for the last time. Finished back at little oink for a coffee and some breaky, I was starving by that stage after having only one gel. Rode a few sections I hadn't done before which was good.

Lunchtime intervals with Jase. I was under physio instructions to try and avoid hills and long runs - not what i needed to hear while training for 6ft but thought id get something fast in to get some good value for going training.
Met Jase and we did monna fartlek around lake Gin. Took the floats easy and tried to run fast. Was pretty pleased with the speed, definitely the fastest ive run for a long time. Fett not too bad, wore the lunar racers which seem to be good for them, hopefully all the stretching/massage/mobilisation the physio did helped. Not really sure what the problem is but it didnt seem like a stress fracture which is good news.

Evening long run, started out without much of a plan but wanting to try and run at a solid pace. After a few min of running decided if do a lap of waste basin and finish off over black mtn, this had the bonus of plenty of drinks.
Felt good cruising around the lake for the first 15 k or so but then my feet started getting sore and it wasn't such fun. Had to stop and stretch several times to try and reduce the soreness which worked a bit. Had a gel coming through the uni and then headed on to the little tracks up black mtn. My feet got really bad here and had to stretch for a few min at top of blackie as I was in a lot of discomfort. Finished back through aranda hill. On the plus side felt strong running but the problem with my feet needs some proper attention, have an appointment w Cathy on mon so hope I can survive until then.

Lunchtime intervals on gossan. Did 4 hilly loops with each one getting longer and me getting slower as I got cooked in the heat and felt the effects of yesterday's effort.

About 19min of effort broken into: approx 2.30, 3.40, 5.10, 7.50 with about 1.30 recovery jog between.

Street O again this time at curtin. Similar start to last week when u got an extra control and then got on the back of Marty. We had similar but not exactly the same routes and obviously he was moving a fair bit faster than me and he pulled out of sight after a while but then towards the end we came back together and I thought the race might be on but Marty had one less control to get and was back nearly 2min before me. Good hard run, just over 30 min hard plus some warm up/down.
