Orienteering 30:00 [3]

Day 3 at CS Uni
Took a while to loosen up but got going ok on the fun rocky start apart from misreading the code on the first one and blowing 20 sec or so. Struggled to adapt to the buildings and was thrown a bit by not being able to see the bridges where the controls were although I think this applied to most people. Finished ok and just pipped Grant but Marty got me by 2 sec! Good fun weekend and nice to get back into some orienteering.

Orienteering 1:50:00 [3]

Day 2 at burngoogee
A bit nervous about the distance given my recent lack of training but started out trying not to make mistakes. Lost 30 sec at the first and was scrappy for a few after that but got into a bit of a rhythm when I caught Ben goonan at 6. Plugged away with only small misses until the spectator and headed out on the brutal last loop feeling pretty tired. Took the high track option mainly because I didn't fancy the alternatives and the cursed Jules as I slugged back up the hill with Simon on my tail. Thought I'd get a drag from Simon but he caught me at the bottom of the hill so smashed myself to hang on up to the saddle but then could only just keep in touch down the other side and as soon as we went up again he was gone. I was accurate through to the finish at least and reasonably happy with how I went. Few min of mistakes but good to tough it out and enjoyed the challenge.

Orienteering 50:00 [3]

Day 1 at connorton- looked tricky and took it very carefully with a lot of stops every time I was unsure. Pretty scrappy apart from a few nice controls but winsplits said only 20sec of mistakes which wasn't bad. Beat Grant which is what counts in the end ;)
