Orienteering 35:00 [3]

Sprint Canberra at ANU. Solid start although was nearly caught after just a few controls. This got me moving and I started running a bit harder and getting into a bit of a rhythm. Struggled at the end with the detailed garden route choices and my small lead over grant turned into a 25 sec loss. Victory to Grant! Great fun series of races though.

Orienteering 35:00 [3]

Sprint Canberra at orana school. Image the original map here over 20 years ago but it was nothing like I remembered, partly because most of the area on the map I made wasn’t included in the race. Terrible start where I tried to open a locked gate into an out of bounds area. After a few sec I came to my senses and realized this couldn’t be right and got going on the right line to the right set of buildings. Steady run after that but quite scrappy. Saved from an mp by jarrah who called out when I punched the spectator control for a second time. Beat grant today so 2 all before tomorrow’s decider although his victories has been a lot more impressive.

Orienteering 50:00 [3]

Sprint Canberra at UC. Ran to UC with Alma for a warm up. Started pretty well but blew a lot of time on 9 not paying enough attention and then 12 confused by the levels. Well beaten by Grant this morning.

Orienteering 35:00 [3]

Sprint Canberra at Bruce ridge. Started well and caught Jase on the first. Was careful but got more and more aggressive until I completely blew 9. In a boo after that and eased off a bit. Was in a battle with Grant up until the mistake but flogged by him in the end.

Sprint Canberra at AIS. A bit flustered on the first but good run after that on a pretty easy course, beat grant, crushed by Marty who is now in a different league!

Hot evening run, picked a few Strava segments to have a crack at for an intervals session, about 5min, 3min, 4min off prettylong recovery but pushing hard. Fastest I’ve run for a while.
