Another treadmill run before going skiing for the day. Did 10x1min. One advantage of the treadmill is that at least the efforts are a very consistent pace.

No skiing today but got out for a longer run on the ploughed bike paths. Lots of good signs and maps to find the way and spectacular Mountain views as well as some very fancy houses.

Running 30:00 [3]

Big day skiing with a couple of runs from 2,300m down to 600m, first from top of blackcomb and then whistler, which left my quads shattered. Was glad to bump into Al and kids and ski home with Max and Alma. Did 30min on the treadmill back at the hotel with 5x3min to get some bang for buck. Had used the calculator on the phone so I had a better idea of the right pace to aim for. ;)

First full day in whistler- all woke up late but had a good day skiing getting our skiing legs back again. Went down to the gym afterwards and ran on the treadmill while keeping an eye on the kids sitting out in the hot pool in the snow. The treadmill was in miles so did 15min tempo while I tried to work out in my head what speed I should run at, couldn’t work it out so just sped it up to 11miles phour for 15min which felt fast enough!
