WFH this morning so got a little jog in beforehand. I am so unfit.... Ankle was alright - it was noticeable but not uncomfortable in any way. Seeing the physio later so wanted to get a road jog in to report back on.

Phyiso - fairly painful session today. Started with a few new exercises followed by a lot of work on the ankle and soleus. Happy with the progress so far but still spme way to go.

One to one Reformer with Liv. Good but oh so tough, there really is nowhere to hide. A lot of focus on my hips and ankles with a couple of horror core exercises thrown in

Walk with the occasional jog around Meelmore. Very slippery underfoot which made me pretty paranoid about the ankle. One moment of pain when I rolled it inwards (normally outwards). It was definitely getting tired towards the end but help up pretty well. I would have thought that I would be more accurate by walking..... turns out I'm not. Didn't have a plan on a single one of the legs, which tended to be fine for the shorter ones but messed up all the longer legs. Oops.

Got to jog a bit today. Jogged out to check on my training group as they did a line exercise and then needed to participate in the relocation exercise as we had an odd number. Ankle was ok, a little noticeable at times but not sore.

Reformer. I have lost a lot of strength in the last month - struggled through another class, spider kicks are not my friend. Lots of corrections from Fallon to keep me on the straight and narrow.

Turned the wobble board into a ramp (temporarily) to do my new exercise. Foot at angle, push free leg back and straight, bring it up in front of you, look over one shoulder, look over the other shoulder, single leg squat. Challenge is to see how many times you can do it without touching the free leg down..... twice is as good as gets at the moment. Balance is not good.

Yay, training!! I died, during the final reverse pike section I could only do about 4, just nothing left. Turns out if you don't train in a month your fitness goes out the window.

Ankle and hip exercises

Physio. So at the beginning of December I had a MRI on my dodgy ankle and it was decided the best course of action was a cortisone injection which was done on the 5th Jan. 48hrs of no weight bearing followed by another week and a bit of no exercise. Physio today for a progress report, seems to have helped but we wont know fully until I am allowed to run again. Which isn't this week.... But I have been allowed to start spin and reformer again, and a 'fast walk' so might try power walking the training on Sunday.
