BTS with Susan. I wussed out of the full run as my legs were completely dead. Took a while to get started on the run due to a very friendly stary dog trying to join us but it kept legging it out onto the road so we handed it over to a police woman for safe keeping before he caused an accident. I suspect the rain was so heavy the owner had just opened the door to let him out. Particularly dodgy area of Belfast this time round so glad to have Susan for company plus she really helped me keep moving. Rest day tomorrow me thinks.

Orienteering 2:01:23 [3] 9.0 km (13:29 / km) +280m 11:40 / km

NICS 5 Crossmurrin. Forgot my garmin so distance is an estimate. Regretted not taping my ankles to took it pretty slowly, although I'm not sure I could have moved much faster even with taped ankles. Was clean apart from 2 controls where I lost about 20 mins which was annoying but entirely my own fault. I had miraculously managed to stay on my bearing for the first control in the green and hit it bang on, tried that technique a second time and got horribly turned around. Ended up on the hill above the control with impenetrable green in front of me so had to loop back off the hill and hope I was entering the green where I thought I was. Then got stuck in the green trying to get back out of 15, and couldn't find the style I was hoping to use to get to 16 and faffed around for a bit until I worked out where I was. But all in all I was happy with the 'run' and now looking forward to a bit of an easier week in the build up to the SHI.

Meant to head to intervals for a half session, but by the time I got home I had a serious headache and really painful sinuses so I stayed in by the fire instead.
