Quite pleased with this for a first attempt. The only disastrous control was 10; I managed to do a 180 and was then distracted by a herd of very inquisitive cows and so failed to realised my mistake. The site that I ended up was similar to the where the control was and I spent a while searching. I should have used the fences, and the contour lines to give it away sooner.

I also got the path wrong for control 7 but realised much more quickly.

Frustratingly, I was shadowed from control 1 to the finish. Halfway round the boy asked me to show him where he was on the map and I told him that it's more fun do it alone. His response was that he's scared of woods (he got extremely distressed later on when it was clear that I was lost looking for 10), and that he only does orienteering because of his father...
