QOC Training Camp Exercise #1: Aragorn and I were lucky to be able to attend the QOC training camp at Prince William Forest. Easy flight in arriving at 9:20 am and picked up at the airport by new QOC member, Miles, to be delivered to Turkey Ridge in time to start the mixed technique training. 6 controls of corridor-O, 1 full map control, then hopped over to the beginning of the line-O as I didn't think I had enough time for the window-O, and along the line for a bit and back to the start. The corridor-O went well but I was too high on C1 and 2. On the line-O I moved down the hillside too early to the creek. Beautiful open woods with ridge and reentrant topography. Cool day and I had a cold but it was great to get out in the woods on a new to me map.
