XC Skiing (tracks) 29:14 [3] 3.83 km (7.9 kph)

The best track I have ever seen at the Point. Skied the Centennial Trail from the Marsh parking lot down to where it turns inland to the O-Tent-Niks.

XC Skiing (adventure skiing) 1:08:00 [3] 7.57 km (6.7 kph)

Broke trail along the seasonal footpaths and one of the parking lots along the beach. Then along the trampled trail south of the visitor's centre, and headed north again, with the last quarter on the nice track on the Centennial Trail. It started to precipitate in the form of ice pellets, then switched to rain. I met one person out there who was being somewhat towed by their dog.

Really the best skiing I have ever experienced at the Point.
8 AM

Spin class 1:20:00 [3]

I got to the gym early and had already been sweating for a half an hour when the instructor got the class rolling. Intervals, quick changes between standing and sitting.....more sweating......

Trekking (snowy streets) 15:00 [3] 1.0 mi (15:00 / mi)

I didn't take a snow day from work......such dedication. Bleh.
Figure 8 walk around the blocks after supper.

XC Skiing 15:00 [3]

2 laps of the soccer fields in the dark. A lot windier than last time so my hands got cold (that's unusual for me), so I packed it in.

Trekking (snowy streets) 18:00 [3] 1.0 mi (18:00 / mi)

The figure 8 lap of the blocks behind us, wearing the appropriate gear!

Note

Blood donor night.
As O negative, I really hope that other O negatives are giving blood too so that if I ever need some, it will be there for me.

XC Skiing 25:00 [3] 2.3 km (5.5 kph)

A few easy laps of the soccer fields, mostly legs.

Spin class 50:00 [3]

Into the wind.

XC Skiing 36:00 [3] 4.0 km (6.7 kph)

Sunday's wet snow then cold temp, then last night's inch of new snow and the oddly low wind speeds today meant that the soccer fields were a good place to do a few laps after spin class tonight. It was cloudy so I used my headlamp rather than the moon for lumination.

Hockey 30:00 [3]

The Sunday night game was cancelled because of a football game. What the? I missed playing. Really!
Not a total klutz all the time tonight.

Jogging (snowy streets) 16:00 [3] 2.1 km (7:37 / km)
shoes: Other

Short jog around town on a ski condition recon.
Grass is just peeking through in the parks and it is still snowing (10 am), so there's hope.....

XC Skiing (adventure skiing) 1:10:00 [3] 7.1 km (6.1 kph)

I waited as late in the day as feasible then headed to The Point. The 2.5" wet snow was just barely enough to ski on along the new Centennial Trail extension. Then on a whim, I checked out the beach which wasn't too bad. The giant piles of ice would be spectacular on a sunny day. I putzed along the seasonal footpath for a bit (very slow going, avoiding the downed branches). Finally, I did a loop on the boardwalk, which I ended up walking part of as what little snow had fallen had blown off the southern part of the boardwalk.
