Spin class 50:00 [3]

Pyramid of intervals....excellent workout.

Jogging (snowy paths ) 2:40:00 [3] 17.0 km (9:25 / km) +134m 9:03 / km
shoes: New blue

This weekend is our 13th wedding anniversary. We've known each other for 15 or 16 years. When we were dating, Paul told me about the hills at the Kingsville golf course, and I didn't believe him, as it is so flat here. But since a few creeks come together as they approach Lake Erie, there are a lot of hills (relatively speaking). Which makes for a challenging round of golf, especially for some of us...... It is a very nice golf course, and from the road in the winter, you see the fences they put up to keep people off the course. Then last weekend I saw on Instagram that a local fellow went there to run the hills. I mentioned it to Paul, along the lines of "wow, he had a lot of nerve", and Paul said "oh yeah, you can go for a walk on the cart paths in the off season". What the ?
So today I jogged up and down and up and down the hills on some of the cart paths. There's about 3" of snow, so it was very picturesque. In fact, there were a few more snowflakes falling as I made my way along the Greenway then onto the course. Guess where I'll be heading back each of the next few weekends!!!!!
Some more testing of the Spot X.....I checked in from a few places on the course, and Paul would text me back saying "you're at X hole on the Gold course" etc. So far so good for simplicity and accuracy.

Gym time (Boot Camp) 50:00 [3]

Upper body.

Lee and I had nothing to do with this....we were just riding our bikes there on Sunday!!!!!

Wednesday Feb 5 #

Jogging (snowy streets) 26:00 [3] 1.9 mi (13:41 / mi)
shoes: New blue

In the category of "at least I did something".
Tried out the "check in" feature on the Spot X. Very accurate GPS!

Tuesday Feb 4 #

Spin class 50:00 [3]

Heavy resistance intervals.

I got changed for boot camp at noon, but got a long-awaited call-back from a customer just as it was time to leave. So I didn't go to boot camp, but taking the call turned out to be worth it.

Gym time (weights) 40:00 [3]

I did the Tuesday boot camp routine at my usual gym after spin class. I noticed this before, but the 20 lb weights at our gym are heavier than the 20 lb weights at the boot camp gym. Or I am decidedly weaker at 8 pm than I am at noon (very likely).

Adventure Bike (Pavement) 45:00 [3] 10.2 mi (13.6 mph)

I met up with Lee at the Marsh parking lot and we rode to the tip and back up to the gate and back. She was going to call it quits then, but after we chatted for a bit, she volunteered to ride to the tip and back again (I had stopped my Garmin, so it is on the next track). Atta girl!

Adventure Bike (mostly) 2:40:00 [3] 31.2 mi (11.7 mph)

Not wanting to stop riding while the sun was shining, I headed up into the marsh field roads north of the park. No. Trees. So lots of wind....and sunshine. Quiet paved roads, but I did see 2 other cyclists out there. And got chased by one dog......
Sub 10 mph into the wind......ough.
