Better day, but still felt tougher than the planners numbers suggest. Indeed, even though we took a near optimum route, still significantly more distance and climb....

Legs felt tired, but otherwise felt better today and even though I was slow up the hills. Got better down and a bit more confident on my ankle as the day went on, but started to feel stomach issues and overly warm towards the end.

Glad just to finish!

Planners optimum route 20.9km/1450m

Nav-wise fine, apart from slight error at #3 (wrong spur) and lost about 10-15mins looking in the mist.

Bit hesitant in places.

Main issue was my legs just wouldn't work and I really struggled with my ankle, especially down. No confidence whatsoever, which really slowed me down.

Didn't really enjoy the slogs up Stonesty Pike, round the S of Crinkle Crags and Blisco, then really didn't enjoy the slog up and over the long ridge off Hell Gill, then straight down and up the N side of Wetherlam. At least we didn't have to summit it!
