Running 1:25:00 [3] 16.0 km (5:19 / km)

Hoot Race # 5

15min WU from Centennial Park to Trowbridge, 8min of Active, 10km hilly race (44:19), 2min puke and hands on knees, 15min CD back to Centennial

I am pleased with this. I wasn't sure how it would go before the start, legs were sore and I was tired and in a weird headspace with stuff this week. I was mentally strong and able to push without fighting myself. I felt decently strong and thought I ran well. Not as good as race # 3 but better than week # 4. I am glad that I did this series and I am glad that it is over!

Running 30:00 [3] 6.0 km (5:00 / km)

Ran with Agar from the house after dropping the girls off at school. Still pretty cold out to start but finally warming up. Decent run into Shuniah. Good chat.

Running 30:00 [3] 6.0 km (5:00 / km)

Morning run before work.

Running 30:00 [3] 6.0 km (5:00 / km)

Got home from work late, had a good talk with my Mom about Dad and didn't leave the house until 7:15pm. Tired and very hungry but it was actually a good run and nice to be out.

Running 1:21:37 [3] 16.0 km (5:06 / km)
slept:10.0

- Run to Boulevard (13:26)
- 4min active and wait
- Run to Bay and Secord (20:42)
- 11 Hills (Bay to Pearl and back)(23:47)
- Walk up to Bay Stairs (1:30)
- Run home from Hillcrest (22:06)

After yesterday's race and how it went, I really didn't think that doing a WO this morning was probably smart but I though that some other guys might be there when I got to Boulevard. Of course no one else showed! Another minus 30+ morning.

This was actually decent once I got going. First 2min was stiff, sore, and awkward but not bad after that. Uphills were really strong but downhills were even slower than usual. Purposely went slower down to avoid pounding my legs even further. Pretty happy with this, not only did I get it done but I got better today.

Running 1:00:00 [3] 12.0 km (5:00 / km)

Hoot Race # 4
- 15min WU
- 6min of Activey stuff
- Race 28:30
- 15min CD

I was not looking forward to this at all. All week I have felt tired and my legs have been so sore. Not really sure why as last week was a recovery week and I only ran 66km. It was a busy week at work and super cold so maybe that had something to do with it. I stretched a lot the last two days and had a cold tub this morning and on the WU my legs felt much better than they have all week.

This was a grindfest from the start. Never found a rhythm and fought the whole way. I think mentally I was decent but definitely had to fight some battles with myself. Started to dry heave the last 1min or so and didn't finish as strong as I would have liked.

Glad that is done.
