slept:10.0 weight:165.9lbs

Hoot Race # 5 (Centennial 8km - 34:48)

Really good day. Felt strong and rested. Justin would get away from me on the flats and downs but I would catch him on the ups. Passed Justin coming up the Mother and gapped him a bit. We were together at the top of an icy downhill just before the top of Hydro coming back (maybe 1.5km to go), Justin flew down the hill and I was very cautious and opened a pretty big gap. Once he was gone I just ran it in. Good day.

Tuesday Feb 14 #

Running 1:15:00 [3] 16.0 km (4:41 / km)
slept:8.0 weight:171.3lbs

- 26min WU to the top of the Bluffs and Back to Arundel, 3 X trail from Arundel to the top of the Bluffs @ Tempo with a steady run down (6:25 + 8:10 = 14:35, 6:16 + 8:01 = 14:17, 6:06 + 8:16 = 14:22), CD home

Solid. Debated doing this, sore and tired and a big part of me wanted to take this week easier to be a bit rested for Saturday. I had to remind myself that running on tired legs is what this time of year is all about and doing to WO today was the best decision long term.

Legs were sore and tired but it didn't seem to bother me. I was able to run strong inspite of not feeling great. The 2nd uphill was the best, flowy and smooth, the last one I pushed a bit too much trying to be faster.

Now its recovery time.

Monday Feb 13 #

slept:8.0 weight:173.6lbs

Ran this morning with Anto and John. Usual effort and soreness, faster times.
