Road Running 1:29:56 [2] 19.1 km (4:43 / km) +83m 4:37 / km
ahr:152 max:175 shoes: Mizuno WR 22

A slow canal exploit. Lacking zip but still a nice way to start the day. It appears the canal is the place to be on a Sunday morning.

6 PM

Trail Running 1:04:58 [2] 13.58 km (4:47 / km) +108m 4:36 / km
ahr:158 max:181 shoes: Mizuno WR 22

A few atmospheric Meadows laps with Ali, Will and Felix - a sort of misty rain but not at all windy or cold, which was actually quite nice to run in. Had considered the parkrun this morning but when it came down to it, found I didn't quite have the necessary drive, and thus the post-BUCS chill continues.

Road Running 1:01:28 [2] 13.3 km (4:37 / km) +84m 4:29 / km
ahr:144 max:179 shoes: Mizuno WR 22

A lovely morning for little trip to the beach. Generally feeling hunky-dory.

Orienteering 40:00 intensity: (10:00 @2) + (30:00 @3) 6.16 km (6:29 / km) +259m 5:22 / km
ahr:138 max:199 shoes: X-Talons 212-3 WK

EUOC Vampire-O
Ended up basically running the full course despite getting vamped a few times, so probably didn't have the right strategy. Big fan of some of the mind games going on out there.

Trail Running warm up/down 15:20 [2] 3.36 km (4:34 / km) +25m 4:24 / km
ahr:115 max:137 shoes: X-Talons 212-3 WK

Collecting a few controls and home.

Trail Running 1:00:49 [2] 13.53 km (4:30 / km) +221m 4:09 / km
ahr:152 max:188 shoes: Mizuno WR 22

Left the flat in the sunshine, but within 2 minutes it was raining, within 5 it was sleeting, and within 20 it was heavily snowing, with genuinely some of the largest snow flakes I've ever seen. It did clear up a bit after that, but nevertheless spent most of the run unpleasantly wet and cold. Still found the run on the whole oddly enjoyable though.

Tuesday Apr 2 #

10 AM

Trail Running 32:27 [2] 6.49 km (5:00 / km) +66m 4:46 / km
ahr:143 max:178 shoes: Mizuno WR 22

Another great Tuesday for a trip to Craigmillar. Still not exactly feeling on top form, but at least made a fairly solid attempt last night to catch up on some sleep.
6 PM

Trail Running 43:29 [2] 9.2 km (4:44 / km) +36m 4:38 / km
ahr:154 max:182 shoes: Mizuno WR 22

Gave intervals a hard pass and just did a few easy Meadows laps with a rotating cast of characters. Stopped a few times to watch Danny MacAskill try and cycle up a tree.

Monday Apr 1 #

4 PM

Trail Running 1:07:46 [2] 12.64 km (5:22 / km) +197m 4:58 / km
ahr:160 max:195 shoes: Mizuno WR 22

Was running a bit late so a bit of an initial raz across the Meadows, but it turned out LucĂa was running even later so then got a nice chance to catch my breath. Some chilled Meadows and Crags after that. Still feeling a bit lacking in sleep after the weekend, but legs themselves actually not feeling too terrible - except from my left glute, which is very sore. Right one is completely fine though.
