Really hit a sweet spot with the weather today; not only was it unpleasantly muggy, it was also heavy rain the while time. Regardless, spirits were high anyway with a nice little pilgrimage to the land of Tuesday mornings.

Took a while to get going, but after that it was almost enjoyable. Saw 3 people I know, which considering I only know about 5 people total, I thought that was pretty impressive.

5x 2mins, 5x 1min [all 1:30] trying to be a bit speedy round the Meadows on another warm and sweaty Edinburgh evening, making for an interesting love-hate relationship with the headwind. Felt like I was shifting okay though, at least by my usual slow aerobic running standards, so I'm happy enough.

Sprintlope round Morningside & Royal Edinburgh Hospital. The hospital grounds are a really, really good little bit of area, while the rest of the course included a few good routechoices round the railway and the like, making for a good (if a little overplanned) course. I spent the course naving like a absolute noob, resulting in a run littered with embarrassingly terrible wobbles. But still, was mainly just there for some summer series vibes and tasty mileage, and I think those boxes were nicely ticked.

Please could this area get onto the FWTN/EUOC Thursday training area rotation; there is so much scope for all-out head-to-head carnage.
