shoes: Mizuno WR 22

Easy Blackford/Craigmillar/Innocent loop with Taco. Had had noble plans for a little session today, but it was all cold and wet and I was tired so I scrapped that and went for something a little more enjoyable.

shoes: X-Talons 212-3 WK

Carnethy 5 route from Flotterstone with Ali, Axel and Eóin. Cold and rather breezy, but glorious sun all the way, so it was all very enjoyable (Axel said it was the best run he's done in Edinburgh so far). Forgot how tough C5 is too, glad I opted for some nice easy O next weekend instead.
11 AM

Road Running 4:23 [1] 0.89 km (4:56 / km) +2m 4:53 / km
shoes: X-Talons 212-3 WK

Absolute pootle home.

shoes: X Tallons 160 III

Busy boy today so just went for a solo plod when I could. Wanted to get off the tarmac so headed down to the Killing Fields and followed the linear BUCS XC marsh round for a bit, before some bog and home. Very much enjoyed running in the daylight.

Thursday Feb 6 #

7 AM

Trail Running 32:55 [2] 6.36 km (5:11 / km) +19m 5:06 / km
shoes: Mizuno Wave Riders 21 (B)

Meadows with Bash and Ali. Great way to start the day.
7 PM

Road Running warm up/down 22:44 [2] 4.62 km (4:55 / km) +14m 4:51 / km
shoes: X-Talons 212-3 WK

Orienteering 28:58 [4] 6.98 km (4:09 / km) +95m 3:53 / km
shoes: X-Talons 212-3 WK

FwtN at Criagmillar. Very big group of EUOC boys showed for the mass start which made the initial looping round the housing estate very enjoyable. Just about held the lead heading into the forest, at which point tried to really drop the hammer on the long leg to shake the pack. Only Max held on which provided good motivation to keep pushing to the finish (and then thankful didn't get kicked to the line). Good fun and very fast and furious racing all the way round.

Road Running warm up/down 25:01 [2] 4.51 km (5:33 / km) +42m 5:18 / km
shoes: X-Talons 212-3 WK

Wednesday Feb 5 #

11 AM

Trail Running long 1:43:12 [2] 20.13 km (5:08 / km) +354m 4:43 / km
shoes: X Talons 212 BP

Ploddy Mortonhall. Very standard. Most excitement of the run probably came when I decided to go round clockwise as opposed to the usual anti-clockwise.

Tuesday Feb 4 #

7 AM

Road Running 32:54 [2] 6.07 km (5:25 / km) +18m 5:20 / km
shoes: Mizuno Wave Riders 21 (B)

Early morning Meadows with Ali (although for him it was a lie in). Nice little chat and plod.
7 PM

Road Running 1:00:48 [2] 16.45 km (3:42 / km) +41m 3:39 / km
shoes: Mizuno WR 22

A fairly long and chaotic day in the lab meant I only left Kings around 6:45, meaning all plan of EUOC hills were fairly out the window, so went for a bit of a de-stress raz which I would say was about 50% successful.

Monday Feb 3 #

5 PM

Trail Running 59:59 [2] 12.79 km (4:41 / km) +146m 4:26 / km
shoes: Mizuno WR 22

Speedy Seat lap with Andrew, Jack and Eugene, and then some Meadows. Surprised with how fine I was feeling despite only rocking 3.5 hours sleep last night, although the climb was fairly grindy.
