Fun running with Corey. We started good, but I aggravated my ankle leaving #6. We then walked most of the rest, with occasional running as tolerated. I also made more navigation errors while we were walking... probably because we were talking more.

Pretty solid race for me. I had a couple of little bobbles, but nothing major.

I was having a great race, and was thinking I would be able to clear the course. Then I had a blow up control. I got stuck in some thick brush, and kept getting turned around. Finally, I decided to go out to the trail and attack from a different direction. I made another mistake there, and after quite a while, I decided to bail out. At this point, I knew I was going to be late, but I grabbed one more close to the trail that I figured I could get in less than a minute. I had to leave one more fairly easy control, and got back 2 minutes late. 9/11 controls.

Due to a technical snafu on my part, I don't have a splits printout, so here are my approximate splits, taken from my gps track:
230 (2:36);
231 (1:23);
234 (3:11);
236 (7:47);
233 (5:20);
235 (7:23);
238 (6:57);
239 (5:07);
237 (FAIL: wasted ~13min);
240 (16:41, but only 3:53 from when I bailed out on 237);
Finish (4:55)
Total: 1:01:20

I skipped 232, which I was planning to get on the final run in.

I haven't been running much lately, because I keep having to wait for blisters to heal. So I didn't race super hard, but felt OK.
